Mary Jo Goelzer manages all corporate and business group branding, marketing, advertising and public relations strategies to promote, enhance and grow Jamboree’s brand. This includes oversight of all print and digital platforms, public and industry relations as well as corporate events. Mary Jo has been a part of Jamboree’s executive management team since 2001, most recently serving as COO – a position she held since 2004. She is adept at sustaining momentum to focus on solutions that make things happen and is keen to learn how to incorporate new tools that impact what she calls the “bottom triple line” – people, planet, and production.
Mary Jo works for Jamboree because it provides the kind of affordable housing and services that would have made a difference for her and her children. “I wish I would have known about Jamboree when I was a single working mother with young children trying to make it on my own. I would have given anything to have a place for them to do homework instead of mom coming home to start homework at 7pm.”
Before joining Jamboree, Mary Jo was an executive for nearly 20 years with Newport Pacific Capital Company, a national real estate development firm, where she served as vice president in areas that included marketing, public and private syndication, mortgage instrument programs, portfolio management, financing, and association management. Prior to that, she was director of investor services at American Diversified Corporation, a private holding company with real estate interests throughout the U.S. A career move to real estate was made subsequent to Mary Jo's many years as a television writer and producer.
